Billy smiled fondly up at his poor beaten up lover, knowing full well that he needed some tender loving care before going to bed to rest. Gently squeezing Rik's hand, he walked to their room and opened the door closing it behind them. Sighing, he then walked towards the mini bar freezer pulling out a bag of ice, gently passing it to Rik, hoping it would be enough for now.
"You can use this for your bruises. There's plenty of ice here. Want me to kiss the bruises on your ass better?"

Rik sat down on the bed and pulled off his dirty shirt. There were already ugly bruises forming around his midsection where Viktor had used his shoulder to knock him down. He probably would have bruises on his ass from that fall now that he thought about it. It was enough to make him laugh as he took the ice for his lip to get the swelling down.
"My ass is too bruised to have you kissing on it." Rik winked from behind the bad of ice. The cheering up was doing him good.

He laughed a little and watched as Rik sat down on the bed to remove his shirt. The poor guy revealing the number that Viktor had performed on his lithe body. As much as Billy liked his band leader---sometimes Viktor could be a right fucking blockhead. The whole coke thing should never have happened and the whole hotel knew this by now. The ugly bruises causing the Brit to frown.
"You poor thing. Even your ass is bruised? Let's just get you feeling a bit more comfortable."
Going over to the mini bar, Billy made up a nice cool glass of water for Rik and a small whiskey for himself. Fuck, he needed it after this. Passing the Dane his drink, he sat down and just wanted to be here for his lover.
"Rebel?" Rik starts laughing. "It's more punk or hooligan." If they were to use a UK version of the idea.
Rik was thinking about a shower to get his hair cleaned and just get the dirt and blood off. However, lifting his arms hurt a little. He's not used to fighting at all.
"He tackled me and I went down hard." He nods at the water and drinks carefully. Then sighs and glances at Billy. "Would you mind brushing out my hair? It hurts it lift my arms."
Then, Rik uttered the magic words. Hair brushing. The Brit's blue eyes twinkled with interest and admiration as he smiled fondly. Of course he'd jump at the chance to get to touch that thick, white hair of the Dane's. But first, did he want a bath to get the blood off?
"Did you want to sit in the bath and get washed first? I could sponge you down gently so you don't have to raise your arms or do anything."

This had been evident for some time now but each and everyday brought new waves of emotion over the Brit and his heart fluttered in ways that hadn't happened with his past lovers.
"Let's get your wild mane brushed."
Moving to pick up the hairbrush, Billy sat back down on the bed and gently began teasing through Rik's thick hair gently, using the brush to comb through any tangles. God, he loved the man's hair. So thick and exuberant. He couldn't help but thread a few fingers through it as he brushed with his other hand.
"If you're going to complain I can call Aarne in to brush it for me?" Rik teased back. Aarne would brush his hair for hours too. It was a friendly sort of obsession that had grown out of their early interactions. "Are you getting possessive on me again?" Rik teased while gently elbowing the guitarist behind him. It feels good to be wanted like this even if he isn't used to it.
"He's more likely to tease us over it than ask why." Rik laughed and then squealed loudly over the kiss to his neck, wiggling wildly away from the touch. He loved the feeling but the tickle was too much to stay still for.

Now Rik is scared that he has said something wrong. His eyes widened and his palm started to sweat. His past causes him to worry so much about doing the wrong thing. "Just..."
He looked down at their hands and bit nervously at his lip. "Well... wait for me. I promise I'll catch up."
The truth is he is feeling confused. His heart pounded every time the Brit was close and felt devastated any time he thought about the fact that they might be separated for months. At the same time, the idea of someone clinging to him this tightly so soon was off putting.
Billy squeezed Rik's hand and nodded slowly. He couldn't help but worry since it was in his very nature from experiences he'd had in the past. Both him and his brother worried a lot about keeping partners and expecting too much of situations. Billy though, he was more worried about losing someone.
"I don't mean to worry it's just---every partner I've ever had has walked out on me. Social pressures and shit like that. I know you won't, it's just---I sometimes can't help worrying."
The Brit gently pressed a kiss to Rik's cheek, careful of his split lip and injuries. He didn't mean to be moving so fast, it was more out of worry than anything that the Dane would slip away from his grasp if he wasn't there with him. Stupid but sometimes love made you think irrational thoughts.
"I'll wait, mate. I promise. Sorry for going so fast I just---need to slow down a little. Going slow is fine with me if it helps you. I want us to be comfortable with whatever this is."
He gently stroked up Rik's thigh, nuzzling into that fluffy hair of his lover's.
Rik took a deep breath and sat quietly for a long time before speaking again. "I've only had one serious partner, I guess, in high school. I had to leave him to get away from my parents. I still talk to him and write when I can."
He hoped Billy wouldn't mind but Ollie had saved his life when he convinced his father to let Rik stay. The Dane didn't want to be his boyfriend any more, the relationship had changed, but they would probably be friends their entire lives.
Rik leaned into Billy and rested his cheek on his head. "I just need time but I don't want to be with anyone else."
"In high school? I can understand that. It's been ages since I've actually allowed myself to get close to anyone since they all left me. The last time I dated anyone was around six months ago or so."
The guy was called Jacob and he was a decent enough bloke who loved music and getting into too much trouble but someone at a club called him queer. That really hurt and after the insult he didn't want to see Billy anymore and broke up. Society really could be a bitch at times.
"Last bloke I dated got called a queer at a nightclub because he held my hand briefly. That was the end of that."
Sighing, Billy didn't want to dwell on anything negative so held Rik close, stroking his cheek. Their relationship was brand new and very special. It meant a lot to Billy and he didn't want to let his Dane go.

Too many people had experiences like Billy's where someone left because they couldn't hand harsh words. All he could do for the past was to slip his hand into Billy's to give it a squeeze. Looking at the Brit holding him close there's a feeling that he could love him, maybe more than he ever had anyone else since he's only really had his high school boyfriend.
